All customers benefit from 24/7 Network Monitoring, in the event that no data passes through a customers' server within a pre-defined period, our internal systems alert our engineers and the issue is escalated to the client.
By default we will proactively monitor your server for responsiveness, in the event of a loss of connectivity we will notify you via email or SMS.
In addition to this we can offer advanced services that will monitor services running on your server.
Custom monitoring includes:
- HTTP/HTTPS – We can monitor your web site to ensure that it is serving the correct content (200 OK messages). We can also measure the website responsiveness, setting an alarm threshold to trigger when a page takes longer than x seconds to render
- FTP – We can monitor FTP servers to ensure they are always available
- SQL Services – We can monitor SQL or MySQL databases and report if it becomes unresponsive
- Mail Servers – We can monitor mail servers including POP3 and SMTP services
Additional monitoring – If a service can provide a watchdog, we can monitor it. We’re happy to roll up our sleeves and work with you to set up proactive monitoring for any non standard service you may be running.

Graphing
One of the most useful ways to monitor your server is by graphing all the core elements. By this we mean, network traffic, processor usage, memory usage, disk usage, disk throughput. Beyond this you can monitor ancillary services such as database connections, slow database queries, mail queue size and much more.
